Hho Hydrogen
Is it possible to make a HHO cell (Hydrogen Fuel Cell) without Platinum?
Is it possible to make a HHO cell (Hydrogen Fuel Cell) without Platinum? If yes then how?
Will be really appreciated. My friend said that I can use Sodium Bicarbonate but I don't think he really meant it.
Well you are asking 2 questions in one a Hho cell is a hydrogen generator that produces hydrogen oxygen gas from water. Yes you can use other metals like nickel or stainless steel. yes some people use sodium bicarbonate which is used as a water softener or a laundry soap booster. They used to sell what is called oxyclean that's sodium bicarbonate. This is 30 % less effecent as well as sodium carbonate/baking soda. Other chemicals are sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide vinegar salt so many others I even heard of one guy using urine. Now in the Hho generator these chemicals are called electrolytes they pretty much draw current/amps in to the water. I highly do not suggest doing it with chemicals look in to Hho with no electrolyte on google. This spring I will be selling a kit for your car that converts clean water in to Hho gas no harmful chemicals.
Now as far as I know most hydrogen fuel cells use rare metals like palladium platinum and rodium I don't see why you couldn't use nickel or stainless steel to do the same thing. I plan to actually experiment with hydrogen fuel cells this way I can possibly make a design I can share open source for people to build them selves.
If you have any other questions or need help with anything else do with either technology you can add me to facebook my name is matt McMahon cox proulx hope I helped with both questions. Take care.

where is the best place to buy quality car/truck speakers for a respectable price?
i live in the ghetto so i can only think of car toys and my neighbors lol, but i don't want stolen ones. cheap is good. good sounds and cheap is best. good sounds and pricey is not what i wants.
98 gmc sonoma (small truck), it only has factory speaks currently and one went bad. i listen to bass heavy dancehall and reggae usually and i want it to sound good.
Try Amazon.com: "car/truck speakers " › Automotive http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26rs%3D%26ref_%3Dsr%255Fnr%255Fi%255F0%26keywords%3Dcar%252Ftruck%2520speakers%2520%26qid%3D1265916857%26rh%3Di%253Aaps%252Ck%253Acar%252Ftruck%2520speakers%2520%252Ci%253Aautomotive&tag=digitsy-marina-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Powered Power Auto
can a automotive altenator be used to generate power without auto and how would it work?
Using an automobile alternator, you could build a windmill that would produce 110 volts AC, enough to power a very small appliance such as a clock, or a cell phone charger, or maybe a 20 watt light bulb. The pulley on the vanes of the windmill would have to be much larger than the pulley on the alternator, in order to spin it fast enough.
You would still need a 12 volt DC battery, to store the output from the alternator, and also to energize the field coils in the alternator. Spinning an alternator by itself will NOT produce electricity, you MUST feed 12 volts to the field.
Lastly, you'd need to hook up a 110 volt inverter to the battery, like the kind you can buy at a truck stop, that plugs into a cigarette lighter.
Now what good is this contraption once you're done? Your guess is as good as mine. I guess it would make a neat science fair project, or perhaps it would come in handy in case of a nuclear holocaust......

Car Boat Atv
Is it normal for ATV's to break down a lot? Why aren't they as reliable as cars?
We own a Kawasaki Prairie 650 that we bought new in 2002. It's a 4WD automatic. This sucker seems to break down all the time, every year we need to get something fixed, often more than once a year. We are very gentle with this machine. My husband uses it to ride up our 1/2 mile driveway to get the mail. We plow the driveway with it. We use it to drag deer out of the woods when deer hunting. We use it to move trailers, fish house, boat around the yard. That kind of thing. No riding around on rocks and wiping out on steep trails etc. We almost never take it over 30 mph. Haven't got it stuck in a swamp or anything.
What is the deal? Our cars are all junkers, 200,000 miles + on them, and they almost never break down, but the ATV is in the shop a lot. Are ATV's unreliable, or was this one a lemon?
Thanks! I am just sooooooo frustrated. This time, the clutch got loose somehow. Two weeks ago, a bolt "loosened up" and fell out, so oil was spraying around.
i'll tell you one thing, kawasaki ATVs are not the most reliable ATVs out there. but that does not explain why this thing keeps breaking down as much as it does. if anything you got a lemon, and a bad one too. if i were you i would call kawasaki and ask them if they can give you any explanation of why it is doing this.
