1995 BMW 318i Where is the safety trunk release and what is the toggle switch in the glove box?
While looking for my safety trunk release inside my car, I noticed a very small toggle switch in the far back of my glove box. Does anyone know what this is for? Also, the only way to get into the truck is to use the remote key button. Is there a trunk release inside the car somewhere?

There are no inside trunk release on all of the E36 cars. You can only lock/unlock the trunk using the central locking system; that's it.
No idea what that toggle switch does, perhaps it's the hidden switch to the alarm system.
